“Doctors and nurses in your local hospital give a good service – do you agree?”

Sounds OK?

There are number of problems with this wording that perhaps many would miss without the expert feedback that Surveyi can provide.

In this example, ‘do you agree’ is more likely to lead people to give a positive answer, it is a leading question. Additionally, what if you think doctors give a good service, but not nurses? What if there are two hospitals in your local area? A much better wording would be:

“Do you agree or disagree that doctors in the hospital you go to most often give a good service?”

Nurses could then be covered in a separate question with similar wording.
